This is probably the closest I have ever gotten to getting my mind's image of Jane Eyre on paper.... Rochester, it seems, must still remain in shadows.
Jane Eyre is one of my favorites, it is such a powerful book because Charlotte Bronte put so masterfully into language what everyone, man or woman, has known and felt.
One of my favorite passages is the following about Jane seeing Rochester after a long absence, ................................................................................ I looked, and had a an acute pleasure in looking - a precious yet poignant pleasure; pure gold, with a steely point of agony; a pleasure like what the thirst-perishing man might feel who knows the well to which he has crept is poisoned, yet stoops and drinks diving droughts nevertheless."
Thank you so much! I really have been neglecting deviant art for a while! I miss just doing my own stuff, but work has been very busy of late. Hope to be updating soon
