This is fantastic, gorgeous!I love the composition, the style, again the little details/touches like the fish swimming..Such a beautiful piece all together. Personally i think it looks just as stunning in b&w,you know, like those old book illustrations.
WOW, that's a huge compliment considering the amazing and legendary work that's out there for this story.
When I actually went through, and circled all the words from the story that I was suppose to convey in this one image: how she was quiet, and wise, slightly melancholy and detached, but happy and content...there was a lot! And something that a classmate said to me later, that I wasn't even really conscious of, how she is slightly leaning toward the statue, and that small movement gives you the sense of longing she has Thanks for the kind comments
You are welcome! I think maybe I like this more than the others because your picture reminds me the image appeared in my mind when I read the story... It's simple still really well detailed. It doesn't force itself down our thoat. It's a kind of humble thing like the little mermaid herself. Your classmate was right. And you did a great work!
