I have been seeing some great "A Great and Terrible Beauty" series fan art, but there is NOT ENOUGH! Really loved these books, I mean turn of the century, British finishing school, ghosts, mythology, mystery, murder, romance... what more do you want???
Also the main character has a personality and a brain (yes, I am talking to you Bella, I use small words so you understand).
Anyway, probably should've spend a bit more time on this, BUT ARGGG NEED TO SUBMIT SOMETHING!!! Two jobs, school, and possibly a freelance art job is not an excuse for my lack of art! yeah it is.

I changed her eyes a bit, now she looks a bit more fierce and powerful, which suits her character more. Her eyes are mentioned quite a lot in the book, and in my old version she had kind of a pathetic expression on her face... anyway, much more happy with it now!
haha i saw this in my inbox and my mind said "Oh, HELLO, Gemma Doyle," as if she were real. O_o. I've only read the first one, but it was mildly addictive so the next ones are a must, I feel.

The books just get better and better. They are kinda for chicks, so I dont know how much a guy would enjoy them, but I just love Gemma, she is very human, funny, and the story is really cool

well, i can see why they're aimed at girls, but that's really only because four of the main characters belong to that gender. i'd like to think guys are above dismissing a book for that reason alone! yeah, i liked gemma. and felicity as well. she was creepy.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
